Best OpenClaw hosting options compared (2026)

Search “OpenClaw hosting” and you get a wall of near-identical pages, all claiming to be the best, most of them ranking themselves first. The prices run from about $29 to $300 a month. So we did the boring thing: opened every provider’s own pricing page, copied the numbers and dates, and compared what the money actually buys.

The short answer. The logos matter less than four things: whether the box is yours alone, what the plan includes (AI credits or a separate model bill), whether you can take your agent with you, and the entry price. On those, the market splits into cheap dedicated hosts at ~$29 and content-heavy platforms at $60–$300.
How we scored this (published before the table). Six providers, each read from its own pricing page and dated September 2026. Criteria: (1) verified entry price; (2) infrastructure isolation — dedicated vs shared; (3) what the price includes, especially AI credits; (4) how model tokens are handled (BYOK at cost vs marked up); (5) exit — export and cancel-anytime; (6) pricing published and legible. No hands-on performance or uptime testing was done; security claims are the providers’ own. We are a provider in this list and we have scored ourselves by the same criteria, including where we lose.

Prices copied from each provider’s published pricing page, September 2026. Cheaper tiers exist elsewhere (shared hosts have been listed from ~$14), but we only print numbers we read on the provider’s own page.

What that means, provider by provider

How to choose in four questions

  1. One agent or many? One → a $29 dedicated host. Several clients or departments → look at the $79–$300 tiers.
  2. Do you want to see the model bill? Bundled credits are simpler; BYOK is cheaper and more transparent at scale.
  3. Dedicated or shared? OpenClaw’s own docs warn against treating it as a hostile multi-tenant boundary, so if your data is sensitive, ask whether your instance is its own box.
  4. Can you leave? Before paying, ask for config and memory export. A provider that cannot answer that is the one to avoid.
The boundary. This is a pricing-and-model comparison from public pages, not a hands-on review. We did not test uptime, speed, or security, and provider security claims are unverified by us. Prices move fast in a market this young — check the provider’s page before you buy, and treat any “best” list, including this one, as a starting point rather than a verdict.
